Dogsledding
In the winter time dog sledding is our main activity. 80 alaska huskys are being well trained in the summer so that they are fit for long trips in tough mountain terrain. The season starts in October (day trips from October to 1st of January) and usually stops in May (depending on the snow conditions). In December there is not much daylight, but the few ours of light gives almost a “fairytale –look” to the surroundings. Not to forget going trough a mountain pass with the northern light flashing over your head. It sure gives a special meaning of being in the Arctic. When the days are getting longer we also have longer trips, one week and 250-300 kilometres in length.
